What is AAHA?

The American Animal Hospital Association, or AAHA, is an association for pet veterinarians and their staff members. We help them improve the care they give pets by providing continuing education, books, training, and other resources.

A veterinary practice that is “AAHA-accredited” is part of a select group of veterinary hospitals in North America that provides high-quality veterinary care.

Since 1933, AAHA has strived to meet the public’s needs for pet care by supporting companion animal veterinary practices through a variety of high-quality programs.

The AAHA Board of Directors established a Foundation in 1978 to fund programs that would improve the lives of pets. Today, this Foundation is embracing a benevolent mission through the AAHA Helping Pets Fund.

The AAHA Helping Pets Fund is making veterinary treatment possible for pets in need throughout the U. S. and Canada. The Fund is expanding its reach through practice-level fundraising in communities surrounding participating veterinary practices.

Many practices are offering Pet4Pets™ collars as an easy, convenient way to raise funds and build consumer interest in helping pets in need. By purchasing Pet4Pets™ collars at a participating veterinary practice, pet owners are helping build grassroots support for the AAHA Helping Pets Fund.
