The AAHA Helping Pets Fund provides financial assistance when people cannot afford veterinary care for their pets. We can help in two types of cases:

• When a pet owner experiences financial hardship
• When a veterinary practice acts as a Good Samaritan

The Fund does not grant money directly to individuals. An AAHA-accredited veterinary practice applies for a grant on behalf of the pet in need. After a completed application is submitted, the AAHA Helping Pets Fund replies quickly with approval status — usually within 24 hours.
