Your Pet4Pets collar supports the Animal Cancer Foundation (ACF). The ACF helps fund new research in advanced and novel therapies for cancer in companion animals.  The ACF does not fund research that would harm or induce cancer in pets. It funds clinical trials of new treatments.

Clinical trials
There is great biological similarity of cancers in pets and people. Billions of dollars are spend annually on cancer research for humans.  What is learned from clinical trials with human cancer patients may help us find new ways to treat pets. And sometimes it is the other way around. For example, a clinical trial for bone cancer in dogs is yielding promising results for a similar cancer in children.

New hope for cures
We do know that cancer is an extremely complex set of diseases.  But modern science is moving very fast in many facets of research. One day we may uncover new ways to prevent, treat and eradicate cancer. That knowledge may save the life of your pet or another family member.
